- Professional: Writer. I earned my MFA in Writing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and my BA in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University. I have studied with Tom Jenks, Janet Desaulniers, Lee K. Abbott, Rosellen Brown, Beth Nugent, and Alice Mattison.
